miscanthus) is a tall perennial forage grass native to Japan and China. Nowadays,
miscanthus sinensis (silver grass) is mostly planted in the U.S. as an ornamental grass. In Europe,
miscanthus giganteus (giant miscanthus) is harvested as a biomass fuel.
