Tawen, try "Cold Iron" and "Sister to the Rain" by Melisa Michaels. Modern
fantasies, pretty repulsive characters, somoe of them, but an interesting
concept. Also, try "Bedlam's Bard" by Mercedes Lackey and the prequel to it,
"Bedlam Boyz" by Ellen Guon. I also liked "Troll-Taken" by Rose Estes, and the
sequel (although it wasn't as good and there doesn't seem to be another after
it) "Troll-Quest".
