Rice Ranch was established as the first summer camp for deaf children.
They later expanded to all children and even started teaching sign
language courses. It was one of the most intense and amazing 2 weeks of
my life. I came out equipped to teach a Sunday School class!
I know everybody can't go to Tennessee. Too bad. We also have the
Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind that offers courses on different
levels. I'm sure that your states have something similar. Look them up
in the Yellow Pages.
