McKinley: Vonda

i know this has already been discussed before on amanda's pages, but i can't remember the answer and i don't feel like rereading all those pages to find it: who is robin's friend vonda, also an author, whom she refers to in her first letter to amanda? i take it vonda is a sci-fi/fantasy writer, too, but i couldn't remember her last name or what she'd written...p.s. - robin said she was a part of the organization called "NOW," and that she was "pro-ERA," but what do those[acronyms?] stand for?
