Am re-reading Jane Yolen's Briar Rose, a book from the Fairy-tale series
created by Terri Windling. The series also has another beloved book of
mine--Tam Lin by Pamela Dean. I've got a love for children's books. Try The
Curdie books by George Macdonald, (also Lilith , and Phantastes, though
they aren't children's books). Susan Cooper works magic, I think--The Dark
is Rising sequence is really good. Oh, and I love Madeleine L'Engle's
books.

ps: regarding Shan's hope that we're having a great week, I'm suffering
from serious lack of sleep. Schoolwork, and all :(
Some doggerel I wrote, just <grin>

Mornings, I am grey and snarly
When I have not had my coffee.
I stand alone,
My tongue I hone
Till all my friends I drive from me.

hmm..am _trying_ to keep my spirits up, probably not as ferocious as I
sound above.
