poly: Re: polymath digest for 04/12/97

Hi. This list is a good idea. My apologies in advance for the scattered
way I'll dip in and out, but I have 3 kids aged 5 & under, plus the busiest
professional year of my life, starting with Costner's bloody 3 hour epic,
that we go see unveiled next week. (I'd be more nervous... if I had
anything at all to do with the production. As it is, well...) Anyway,
this seems an august group.

One suggestion? That we all send to Damien separately brief 100 word bios
that he can collect and then issue in a lump later. I'll start by sending
him mine. That way we'll know each other. (Of course I already know &
respect many of you.)
