poly: what is Ralph M. & Eric D. now up to?

I hope Ralph Merkle is still with us. If this is not too prying, I'd like
how are the things progressing with things minuscule. (*Warning*: question
barrage launch in progress).

Which machines are you using at AMES? Is current state of the art in
serious scientific cruch adequate, or a bottleneck?

I guess significant progress in the codes is being made (description
languages and interactive systems for molecular CAD, dedicated
forcefields, parallelism, possibility of realtime interactions with the
simulation in progress, etc). Could you perhaps lose some words on these
items?

Is progress being made with QM runs of machine-phase processes?

Are you still sticking to the mechanical (i.e.) paradigm, or are you
investigating doing logics with electronically excited molecular states?

Thanks,
'gene
