oops! i forgot to add in that last message: does anyone know the
author/anthology where i can find the essay, "the madwoman in the
attic"(about rochester's first wife, among other things). i read it in
highschool, but the highschool english teacher who assigned it has moved
away, so i can't ask him... thanks!
