I finished Spindle's End last week and I must say that I was very dissapointed in it. Robin took way to long to get into the story and then her paragraphs were so full of visual discriptions that it was almost boring waiting for her to get to something substantial in the story. The book was almost to simplistic to enjoy. Yes, I do know that the book is classified as a Young Adult book but I have never thought of her books as that way because they have always seemed to contain so much more then that. The story wasn't anything special either. Yes it had some interesting twists in it but nothing overly exciting. And now that I look back at her books I must say that Robin hasn't written anything as phenomenal since her Damar books. Yes I enjoy her books but her Damar books are such literary works of art that they are her only books that I have read more then once.( I did read Beauty 2). Her Damar books are her only ones that have a real plot to them and the characters seem real in!
those books and have great character development.
