i haven't ridden a horse since middle school, but i just recently started taking riding classes again and didn't realize how much i'd forgotten! for those of us who aren't "natural" riders and can't just tell when to post(when to go up in the saddle) by what "feels right," is the rule for posting in the ring that you go up when the horse's outside leg goes up or when the inside leg goes up? i remember it was one or the other but i'm afraid to ask the teacher or the other riders which it is!
