You asked about query letters for selling a manuscript. I write
children's stories, and I have found many great tips and hints (and yes,
query letter examples) in a book called "Children's Writer's &
Illustrator's Market". They come out with one each year and can be found
at your local book store. The book also includes a list of publishing
houses and their requirements. Hope that helps.
Totally unrelated, but one of my favorites is a book called
"Drujienna's Harp". It is by Ellen Kindt McKenzie. I found it after I
had read everything our library had by McKinley.
