Rose Daughter

I'd been going to say that the lines were from "Barbara Allen", but Clara beat me -- and gave us fuller lyrics than I'd seen before! Thanks. Yes, I think the Beast stayed a Beast.

McKinley seemed to want this to be "Beauty" done right, but overall I think she did it better the first time. The sisters were more interesting this time, and the curse was more complex. But the exile from the city was not more realistic, it seemed a caricature; they get married after a subjective week; Jack seemed to be a one-scene villain, which jarred. Beauty didn't turn into a beauty, the one problem with _Beauty_, but that's because she already was one. Whee.
