bloodstone
i also noticed Luthe had the bloodstone as a necklace in _a knot in the grain_, but i thought aerin had already given it to him in _hero_. didn't they have an argument about it because luthe wanted her to take the bloodstone with her but she thought it would be too powerful for humanity to deal with so she left it with him? if that's the case, then maybe the bloodstone isn't proof that they were re-united, though i kind of suspect they were, anyway.
