as for the rest: i agree with everyone who says that no one should do a movie because they wouldn't do it right; or else they should have Robin's approval every step of the way.
and, completely in contrast to what i just said, another suggestion for Luthe: John Shea. the best movie i've seen him in is _Missing_, but that was about 15 years ago. he was most recently to be seen as lex luthor on lois & clark, and i didn't even notice just how great he is until the last two episodes he was in, when his hair had gotten longer. (i stopped watching it after they killed him off and it became even more stupid). no, he's not british (and i'm the one who suggested a british Luthe, darnit!), but how often does one come across a guy with wonderfully curly hair like that?! he'd have to dye it blond. he could do it.
