The maidens who assemble in Virgin Mary's garden today, too, pass under the tall gate with pure, angelic smiles on their faces.

Clad on their pure bodies and souls were deeply-colored school uniforms.

The pleats on their skirts should never be perturbed, and their white sailor collars should never be curled. It is regarded their politeness to walk slowly. Of course, there should be no ill-mannered students who run past, on the verge of being late.

Founded in Meiji 34, it is a ladies' catholic convent with tradition, an establishment originally for the daughters of the peerage class.

Standing in the city of Tokyo, on a vast turf of green still left on the surface of Mushashino, this maidens' garden is protected in God's hands, and provides a straight-line education from kindergarten to university.

In the flow of time, the year of reign has already changed three times, from Meiji to Heisei nowadays. Even now, however, the school still remains a prestigious institution, a system in which daughters are raised to be pure and speckless under a greenhouse enviornment throughout their eighteen years here.
