Your Eyes

by Suzanne I close my eyes
and all I can see is your face-
smiling warmly back at me.
I gaze deep into your eyes
they're like liquid pools of chocolate
that I get lost in.
And oh, that smile
the smile that brightened up your handsome face,
warmed my heart.
When I was down,
just the sound of your voice
calmed me and comforted me-
in ways I never thought possible.
You embraced me
and I felt safe,
I felt like I had someone to belong to.
I miss you.
