I believe the Barbara Michaels book THE SEA KING"S DAUGHTER was about Atlantis, but it has been a few years since I read it, so I could be wrong. At any rate, I remember it being a fun read.

O Brother, Where Art Thou? : ) I normally don't like Clooney, but this movie is absolutely great! : ) And, of course, there's Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. Trapped in Death Cave and Danger in Quicksand Swamp by Bill Wallace are also good children's books about hidden treasure. : ) Oh, and the Indiana Jones movies! : )
