Can't say that I know of any books on Mary M. but I do remember reading
"The Bronze Bow". It was by Elizabeth Speare and won an award. (either
Caldecott or Newberry- I can't recall) The main character was a boy who
got involved with zealots. He had a sister who played a big part in the
latter part of the story. Jesus made a couple of small appearances in
the story, too. I've been meaning to look that book up again. I'm glad
that you mentioned it.
