McKinley: fave five

Not counting Robin's books (and counting series as one), mine are:

1. The Fellowship of the Rings by JRR Tolkien
2. The Chronicles of Narnia by CD Lewis
3. The Crystalsinger series by Anne McCaffrey
4. The Magic Kingdom of Landover series by Terry Brooks
5. The Pegasus series by Anne McCaffrey
5. The Rowan series by Anne McCaffrey - a tie

series to avoid: Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time (too long and convoluted) and
Joel Rosenberg's Guardian of the Flame (very violent, although it's a good
story otherwise)
