oops! no wonder i had no idea what he meant by IIRC being the initials,
like "USA or USSR," for some north-eastern part of early france where they
didn't speak french!:) ok, then change "france/IIRC" to
"france/north-eastern france where they didn't speak french," and the
argument still works!
