Making a movie about Beauty would be very hard, I think. How do you make a Beast who looks realistic, yet sympathetic, without being ridiculous? I think Disney's animation was the best solution to that problem - a live action movie would be very tough to do well. I can't really see Liv Tyler as bookish, tomboy, awkwardly-adolescent Beauty. I don't really know who to suggest in her place, though - I don't watch a lot of movies. No suggestions for the Beast, either - it would have to be someone with a really deep, but beautiful voice. and he wouldn't have to be young, either - in the book, he's supposed to be around forty after having spent so much time in the castle.
