Deerskin takes place definitely AFTER Aerin's time. Ossin refers to Aerin defeating Maur and that that was a LONG TIME AGO. It's when he's talking about getting himself a really desirable princess. I believe it's when he and Aerin are brushing the dogs and talking about Moon Woman. Happy hunting.
