A Stronger Guinevere

I haven't read The Mists of Avalon yet, but if you're looking for a stonger, more sympathetic Guinevere, I suggest reading "The Child Queen" by Nancy McKenzie. The Guinevere in this story is quite sympathetic and strong for a woman in her position and time. Although she isn't quite as good as Robin's characters (who is?) I found this depiction of Guinevere, as well as the entire story, to be quite fulfilling. P.S.~I just finished reading The Outlaws Of Sherwood for the first time and I LOVED it!!! Robin McKinley RULES!!!
