hephaestus
You are right about Hephaestus being deformed and
being married to Aphrodite (a beauty and the
beast story in itself). I only know this much
because it was features in an episode of
HERCULES. But, in the real mythology, was
Hephaestus a good god or a bad god? Maybe Beauty
got ahold of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA in the
magic library and named the beast Eric.
