it does make sense that the rochester robin refers to in her dedication to _beauty_ would be the rochester of _jane eyre_ since charlotte bronte supposedly based the novel on beauty and the beast(or cupid and psyche) anyway - maybe the other mr. rochester she mentions is whoever played rochester in the original movie version of "jane eyre"(at least she hasn't been averse to dedicating other books to movie characters) - in the case of "jane eyre" i think rochester might have been played by orson welles but i'm not sure...
