really good children's book illustrators
As a children's librarian and the mother of an extremely talented 11 year old artist, I am collecting really good children's illustrators. I already know about Hillary Knight (who did a wonderful B&TB book, author I can't remember offhand), Denise Fleming (who makes her own paper at the same time as she does the illustrations), Ted Lewin (whose illustrations for "The Day of Ahmed's Secret" are so real, you can feel the Cairo heat), Lois Ehlert (I loved her one on snowmen) and Michael Rosen. If anyone out there has favorites that I left out, tell me about them. Thanks!
