Some of my ideas are Down-in-Flames level in assumption-overturning: the Three-Faced God was a Builder hoax, the Builders let Perimal Darkling in in the first place, Gerridon rebelled because he thought honor had already been violated... DotM is the more obvious driver, but there's essential stuff from SM too. I have no idea what Hodgell has in mind herself, but 'subversive' ideas have actually come to me much more easily than any straightforward extrapolation, which tends to seem boring or illogical. -xx- Damien X-)
